Filipino: Yes.
American: You know, in States, only poor people eat an apple.
Filipino: Oh, is that true?
Is that a banana you are eating?
American: Yes.
Filipino: You know, in Philippines, only monkeys eat banana.
Sometimes you just need to distance yourself from people. If they care, they’ll notice. If they don’t, you know where you stand.
